Sky Tavern’s Summer of Fun for All

Jun 26th, 2014 In : Events, Important posts By : RKPR 0 Comments

For decades the Junior Ski Program at Sky Tavern has been the region’s special place for kids to learn how to ski or snowboard. Now, thanks in part to a recently signed year-round lease with the City of Reno, Sky Tavern is your place for summer fun in the mountains.

Last Sunday, the venue on the Mount Rose Highway kicked off its first summer concert series. A great crowd turned out to listen to local lyrical rock band, The Novelists. Don’t worry though, plenty of music is still planned for the rest of the summer at Sky Tavern.

Three bands will take the stage Sunday, July 20including Rigorous Proof, Love Like Wes and Pieces of Eden to perform. Then Sunday, August 17Mojo Green will headline. The concert series will close out Sunday, September 14with CRVSH on stage.

Admission to the concerts is FREE but a suggested adult donation of at least $10 would be appreciated.  Proceeds will benefit the junior ski program as well as other year-round programs the non-profit organization is working to launch.

The same for Sky Tavern’s second annual golf tournament, once again being held at the Somersett Golf Club Monday, August 18.
