The RTWGC will induct the next class of inductees into the Reno-Tahoe International Sports Hall of Fame Saturday, November 17at the Atlantis Resort Spa Casino in Reno. The ceremony for the 2011 class included Alex Cushing, Lynette Davis, Shane McConkey, Tamara McKinney, Wayne Poulsen, Daron Rahlves and Franz Weber and attracted a sellout audience of over 400 attendees. The RTWGC is working with the Atlantis to allow for additional seating for November’s event to meet the demand.
“The community support for our inaugural induction was phenomenal,” said Jon Killoran, RTWGC Chief Executive Officer. “It was a wonderful evening honoring a tremendous group of inductees.”
Killoran added that this time around the general public can have a role in the nominations. “We will be working with local media to reach out to residents to suggest potential candidates for induction. From the Lake Tahoe Basin to rural northern Nevada and all points in between, we want to make sure we consider any worthy athlete, coach or sports pioneer.”
