Signups are available for the Silver State Weightlifting and Power lifting competitions to be held June 29 and 30 at Elite Cross Fit, 475 E. Greg Street in Sparks. The competitions are part of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition’s ongoing mission to promote the Olympic Movement throughout the region. Nevada Barbell is co-hosting the competition.
Men’s and women’s competitions will be held in various weight classes as well as a Masters division. Weightlifting takes place on Saturday, June 29 with women’s weigh-ins starting at 8:30 a.m. and men’s weigh-ins starting at 10:30 a.m. Power lifting events start with weigh-ins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 30. Placement medals are awarded in all divisions.
Registration is $25 per event and includes a spot in the competition as well as a t-shirt.
