Born in Reno and now living in Las Vegas, Lane Spina was a two-time Olympic freestyle skiing medalist during the infancy of the sport on the world stage. Spina won a sliver medal during the 1988 Calgary Winter Games and a bronze medal during the 1992 Albertville Winter Games. He also captured four World Freestyle Skiing Championship medals; silvers in 1986 and 1989, gold in Lake Placid in 1991 and bronze in 1994.
